O.Berk Awarded Gold EcoVadis Rating

Since 2007, EcoVadis has grown to become the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings.

“To date, EcoVadis has rated over 75,000 trading partners worldwide, mitigating risk for some of the world's largest organizations, while positively impacting the environments, fostering transparency and driving innovation,” -EcoVadis

Their evidence-based assessments are formulated into scorecards that include scores zero to one hundred (0-100), and medals (bronze, silver, gold and platinum) that are applicable to a company’s individual rating.

Their rating system covers a broad range on non-financial management systems including environmental, labor & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement impacts. EcoVadis rates each company on the material issues as they pertain to their company’s size, location and industry.

Rated companies can see how their score compares to the benchmark in their industry. Combining the scorecard results with insights into improvement areas results in a "race to the top," which further influences whole industries to compete in achieving global best practices.

In January, 2022; O.Berk was awarded a gold medal in recognition of the company’s EcoVadis sustainability rating, where we placed in the top 3% of companies within the industry.

O.Berk was provided a comprehensive scorecard that broke down what areas the company exceled in and suggestions for continued improvement and leveling up.

Our company has remained focused on putting resources in place that greatly reduce emissions through the use/reuse of recyclable materials, use of energy friendly machinery for sustainable decoration and production, and advertising the importance of environmental issues by providing a wide range of more sustainable packaging options to our customers.

A cross-functional team from sales, marketing, supply chain, operations, human resources and quality has been established to leverage the EcoVadis platform to benchmark our progress within the industry, and more importantly, establish a standard for our development over time.
