When it comes to household and industrial product packaging in plastic jugs, chemical resistance characteristics of the resin is of foremost importance. Nothing is more frustrating to the product makers and the consumers when the package becomes unstable shortly after filling. We've previously shared a summary table of barrier and distortion properties for common plastic packaging resins such as PET, HDPE, LDPE, PVC and PP plastics. Below is another summary table displaying resin characteristics on different chemicals. This table is particularly useful for household and industrial chemical makers looking for rigid plastic jugs packaging options.
