Glass or Plastic? Recycling to Help Save the Environment

In our world, we produce a tremendous amount of trash daily. From empty boxes from your morning cereal to the empty glass or plastic bottles from your peanut butter, these items add up. The bad news is that when you throw them away in the trash they end up in landfills. In a landfill, they will just remain there along with the other trash.

So, the trash that you throw out will just continue to build up. But, we do have the opportunity to help with the continuing problem of growing trash. It is by recycling. Recycling is a simple method of taking used items and make them new again. Items made of paper, plastic and glass are typically good candidates to be recycled.

Recycling products is important because it reduces the amount of trash in our landfills. In addition, it will help improve our environment by making something old, new! It is also something that can be done by everyone. From the youngest child to grandparents we can all do our part in recycling. Learning about recycling is the first step in starting a home or work recycling program. We hope this information will help in getting you started in the right direction.
