Vented Liners

Have you seen a plastic bottle on the shelf that looks deformed? Deformation, such as paneling, and bloating, can be a common problem in plastic packaging, particularly for products that require air circulation. But how do you allow air to circulate without product leakage? Vented liners are one of the practical solutions, so let's explore them today.

What Do Vented Liners Do?

Vented liners provide a two-way exchange of air to equalize air pressure inside and outside the bottle as the product emits or absorbs gases that develop in the bottle's headspace. Organic products or ingredients often require this technology as they emit gases that lead to bottle paneling or bloating.

Temperature And Atmospheric Pressure Change

Temperature changes can also contribute to the unequal air pressure effecting a container's shape, artwork, and labeling. Vented liners ensure that a container arrives from the warehouse to the customer just as originally intended. Conditions leading to such change include elevation change during transit (via air, sea, or land) and temperature change (Arizona in August vs. Canada in February).

How Do Vented Liners Secure Content And Equalize Pressure?

Vented Liners are structured with a unique membrane and come in various forms. Their intended purpose is to equalize air pressure to prevent damage, and the membrane will allow air to pass freely while liquid and granular products are kept inside and remain secure.
